Yes - I bought from Primary Arms, because I had a discount code that was usable on top of their sale. For less than $900, I couldn’t pass it up - even with paying my LGS a $50 NFA transfer fee.. Some places online have the FDE mode listed for $1300+ 😳. Yikes. Might as well have went for the RC3 then…

And of course I “needed” tactical peanut butter colored because it’s far more accurate/deadly/quiet/loud/etc.! lol 🤓

If you're not totally set on building yourself, the Matador Arms Mat-9 upper gets good reviews. Also sold as the Brownells BRN-9. They are a self contained blowback upper. No buffer system needed.

I have a 7.5 from Bear Creek that I've been happy with so far. Got it with the side charging upper. I think Sig and a couple others make 5.5 with crazy fast twist rates

I haven't built an AR anything in a while so I'm thinking of a AR9 with a 4.5" barrel. I can put a Kaw Valley Precision blast shield or a 3 lug adapter for the Silencerco Octane 9 demo suppressor I have. Not sure if I want to go with a brace that I have or just the foam sleeved buffer tube. Have to check my BCG's and see if I have a 9mm side charger for something different. I do need to get a mag well adapter (for Glock mags since I have a lot of them on hand).
