    Default Double check “background” check

Listened to an interview with a guy talking about his new software. It is basically an additional background check that skims socials and other public info for trigger statements. At which point a gun seller could decline the sell or talk to the buyer for clarification. Sounds like industry companies are backing the company.

Interview: FYI the last 20-30 minutes summarizes the program pretty well.

    Thoughts on this?
My initial thought is that it sounds like a solid tool for sellers. It sounds like the people behind it are trying to avoid its misuse.

It won't be long until the lack of a social media presence will be considered suspicious.

Dealers already have the ability to decline any sale for any reason. I don't expect them to ignore overheard statements like "My dope addict neighbor is paying me twice the sticker price to get this for him", but I won't do business with one who feels the need to do some "extra" checks on me, beyond what the law requires. There are still dealers out there who know the law, and shun the BS, and I've happily driven a few hours to patronize them over closer "experts".

This is why if you choose to be on various social media platforms you set your account to private where only people you allow can view your content.

That's where not having a social media presence under your real name is considered suspicious.

This. I would go elsewhere. Luckily for me, besides this site, I have zero social media exposure.

You can bet you are already on some government Dossier, just belonging to this forum.
    You're a sanctimonious hypocrite of a bible-spouting blackmailer !
