    Maybe I'm wrong but if your wife has her LTCF then there shouldn't be any legal trouble for her carrying a gun you purchased. I'd have to dig up info but recall reading stuff that clearly stated you can let someone use your handgun as long as they've got a valid LTCF.

    Non-FFL loans or transfers between PA spouses are excepted, and lending to a PA resident who has a PA LTCF is also excepted.

    You're not wrong. The gun shop that gave him that advice was wrong.
