Sure, all the new gun owners, all the 1-box a year hunters, etc. 100% this will encourage people buying in bulk now.

Valley Gun works in North East, Pa. said in a clip on local Erie, Pa. TV News that they have already been seeing
an increase of ammo buyers from NY. The border is about 4 miles away.

I still buy ammo at local gun stores and Walmart. I wait in ambush until I see a Fudd reaching for the last box of 30-30 or 35 rem and swoop in to elbow them out of the way.

Take that, once a year Fudd! Probably doesn*t matter as fudds would be okay with having no ammo in their shit head Fudd guns (I*m lookin at you, Remington 760) as long as they have a fifth of Irish Mist in their vest pocket.

With a background check being required in NY but not in PA is there any law broke if a NY resident drives to PA to purchase ammo without a background check?

Who cares? Resistance is NOT futile.

Hochul has become quite the dictatorial cu nt. Hard to believe she was once rated fairly well by the NRA (no shit, look it up). Power corrupts.
Strange women lying in ponds, distributing swords, is no basis for a system of government.

Mainly curiosity on my end, I fully support them doing that, I just wasn't sure if it was actually breaking any laws.

This type of behavior is how people end up accumulating several thousand rounds of ammo. Most people aren't buying 5k rounds at once but picking up a few hundred here, a few hundred there you end up starting to stockpile. God forbid we stockpile ammo over the years.
After the 2009 ammo "scare/shortage" I made sure I would never be stuck again. Then my calibers increased from 2 to... A lot! Ironically, it was mostly small purchases over the years.
