How do you carry comfortably while fat

standing walking moving around none of that is really an issue but jesus is it uncomfortable to sit down and have the back of the slide digging into my gut and when I try to angle the holster differently I wind up with the butt in my gut instead. I'm currently using a desantis IWB and carrying an S&W sigma 9mm new gun isn't an option for several months.

I'm not fat, but I switched from IWB to OWB about 10 years ago and it is MUCH more comfortable.

OWB at 3:00-3:30 for me. I have my holster wrapped around that belt loop so I can slide it back and forth as necessary for comfort. I have a Serpa with the holster cantered on the pan-handle.

I have a blackhawk retention holster I use when I can but there are instances where the bottom of the holster likes to peak out from under my t-shirt and I can't risk that at work

I would suggest that you look into OWB holsters

In a pocket. Fat guy pockets can fit a glock 30.

Man, I have a little Sig 238 that *could* be one of the smallest, flattest little pocket guns but I'm not a 1911 guy and just can't get comfortable with the the cocked/locked system in a pocket. Just doesn't seem right somehow. But that's just me. I'm sure there must be other pocket type pieces, of comparable size, that are da only or striker etc that might be better suited.
