    This is why you have to pay attention. I drive/drove that stretch for years. I have never once came close to doing that,
    due to paying attention of what is ahead of me. Especially at high speeds.

    The truckers on the turnpike and other highways are horrendous. Just finished a road trip to Georgia and everything was great except for the truckers. And the worst was in PA along with the disgraceful roads

    I know, I do the same. Ther'es a lot of hills that you come over the crest and limited visibility. I would reserve judgement until I knew how fast the truck was moving at the time of impact. If you plan to be able to come to a dead stop, with that size load, you would never be going very fast. It's one thing to avoid things or slow down, but dead stop from highway speeds is another. He may have had no other lane to go in.

    Yeah and 50% of long haul truckers are 7-11 rejects and are wearing robes and sandals.
