West Virginia Reciprocity - Pittsburgh to Morgantown
I did look both here and on "carry" websites.
It appears that my PA LTCF is good in WV, but I thought it may be good to confirm this.
Also, are there any weird things to be aware of like "duty to inform", or "storage laws".
Need to go to Morgantown next week to see a specialist for the dog.
I likely won't be carrying on my person, but want it in the vehicle.
Loaded OK? That's my biggest concern.
Thanks.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: West Virginia Reciprocity - Pittsburgh to Morgantown
WV were "Permitless Carry"in 2022, but they still honor PA LTCF anyway.
No duty to inform, but must disclose if asked by a LEO if you're armed.
I don't see any storage laws or any "out of the ordinary" off limits places. It looks like a parking lot storage law was partially ruled unconstitutional recently.

Re: West Virginia Reciprocity - Pittsburgh to Morgantown
WV and PA have had reciprocity since the early/mid 2000's. Still in effect.
That agreement made me happy when it was signed. At the time I was in WV regularly, at least a couple weekends a month. Between dating a gal from Weirton and owning a camp(trailer) in Sun Valley(north of Weirton) - I had spent a lot of time there.
WV has since went Constitutional Carry, but the agreement is still in place.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: West Virginia Reciprocity - Pittsburgh to Morgantown
Thank you. Never thought to look there.
That said, maybe I'm just an idiot, but I can't find an answer to my question about having a loaded handgun in a car. (not on my person)
Q. Is it lawful to carry weapons (e.g. rifles, shotguns, and pistols) in my vehicle when I travel in West Virginia?
A. Individuals who possess a valid concealed carry permit may carry a concealed handgun in a motor vehicle for purpose of self defense only. West Virginia permits anyone who can lawfully possess a handgun to carry an unconcealed handgun. If you choose to carry an unconcealed handgun in your vehicle and are stopped by a law-enforcement officer, you must understand that that the weapon will immediately attract the attention of the police officer. The presence of the weapon may lead to action by the officer to ensure his or her safety such as the drawing of his or her weapon, ordering you from the vehicle, and/or performing a pat-down search. Weapons intended for hunting must be unloaded and in a case when transported in a vehicle. It is strongly recommended that, if you do not have a valid concealed carry permit, while traveling in a vehicle, that all firearms be unloaded and cased in a location in the vehicle that is not readily accessible to any of the occupants. Any ammunition should be stored in a separate location from the firearm.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

From USCCA:
Can You Carry a Loaded Gun in Your Car in West Virginia?
Yes. Loaded firearms can be carried concealed in vehicles by anyone who is at least 21 years old (18 years old for members of the United States Armed Forces, Reserve or National Guard) and legally entitled to have a firearm under state and federal law. No concealed carry permit is required.Get your "Guns Save Lives" stickers today! PM for more info.

Re: West Virginia Reciprocity - Pittsburgh to Morgantown
OK, I was assuming that what I was reading was in regards to WV residents, so I wasn't sure.
And I'm so accustomed to having to be very specific because "words mean things" and I don't know that "carried concealed in vehicles" is the same as "loaded in the glove compartment" or not.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
