5.56 hasn*t been 200 a case in a looooong time.

I still have a couple thousand Winchester Q3131a Israeli made 5.56 that I paid 120.00 per thousand, bought around 2000-2001 or so. And a couple thousand 9mm I paid 7.99 a box at Walmart right before they stopped selling it.

Foresight. Back in the day when we were paying 89.00 a case for ak ammo, then it went up to 120.00 The rest is history.

I*m good on ammo but bit the bullet and bought a 1k 5.56 today for 419.00 shipped, not what I like to pay but it will be more in the coming days and weeks.
