Lancaster Conservancy offering public hunting
archery_bulls.gif
At a time when land in and around Lancaster County is being gobbled up for development, and is increasingly being posted by private landowners to prohibit general hunting, the nonprofit Conservancy has 4,320 acres within the county open to public hunting.
And it’s always looking to acquire more land.
That acreage is in addition to the 14,725 acres the Pennsylvania Game Commission has available for public hunting in and adjacent to Lancaster County across six sections of State Game Lands.
But the Game Commission buys and maintains State Game Lands specifically for public hunting, using hunting license dollars and other money related to hunting in Pennsylvania.
The Conservancy buys land “to save important natural places for people and wildlife” using donations of money or land from preservation-minded citizens and organizations, according to its website.

From the linked article -
On its website * lancasterconservancy.org - the Conservancy maintains individual maps of each of its preserves showing where hunting is allowed, and what hunting is allowed.
