    Default Stock grips or Stag

Been fooling around with my new 2.5" Python. Stock grips or Stag? I've never been a huge Stag fan, but I think I like them on this baby

Stag looks nice on that. Better than the checkered wood, which looks cheaply done, IMO.

    I'm taking the alternate opinion.

The stag would look better on a blued revolver. Stag on stainless looks too washed out. The darker tones of the wood provide a good contrast with the stainless. It might be OK on a brushed stainless, but not a polished finish.

    But, that's just me.

If you*re going with stag, at least get some nice looking ones.

LOL!!! I kept trying to type something that wasn't offensive, but that's pretty much what I was trying not to say. LOL

I prefer something that's either "all white/smooth", or something that has more of the natural texturing/dark areas.

    Personal preference.

I much prefer the look of the stock grips, though I'm not a Python fan. Also, for .357 and above, I want some texture to keep the gun in my hand. If Hogue made a fingerless version of their overmold grip, I'd suggest that. But all they seem to offer is the one with finger grooves, which I do not like because they aren't spaced for my big hands.

Thanks all - pretty split. And honest feedback never an issue here. I don't like the heavy stag grooves if that makes sense, and don't like smooth so thought these were a good middle of the road.
Based on a couple comments, I think some of you answer yes when your wives ask if their new dress makes their butt look big

When asked by someone if he approves of their outfit, fashion maven Tim Gunn replies, "If that's the look you want, you sure have a good one."

He borrowed that from Lucy Ricardo who said it in a ILL episode.
