How can you tell if it's fired one time or many times?

You have to trust the seller when you buy it. When you get it you can look closely at the cases and see if there are markings from when the case was resized but by then it is too late.

Back in the day there was fired brass everywhere for cheap and you assumed they were once fired since no one would even bother to buy mixed headstamp reloaded many times crap. But now even fired brass is in short supply so you pay the high prices and get what you can. Or just pay a little more and get new brass or even fully loaded ammo.

May want to move this thread up to the reloading section.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

I've used everglades not one issue with them. I buy brass mostly on sale, I really doubt the once fired statements from people. I load light loads since I only need to put a hole in a paper target so My brass lasts quite a while except for the nickel plated which seems to crack realitivly quickly.

Brassman has been absorbed by an outfit called 3 Rivers ammo but is still operating at www.brassman.com
