Pat's (Philly cheesesteak) to open a store in State College

Eh, I have been going to Pat*s and Geno*s before they were famous. We call 9th & Passyunk Cheese Steak Vegas. That said I will still have one or the other when the mood strikes. And yes, there are many other places that make a good cheesesteak. I am on a Lou*s in Norristown kick right now. But they are only open Thursday to Sunday and close early.

Yes. I like Dalessandro*s. But anymore there is a huge line outside that I am not waiting in.

It must be the spot for college kids and their parents to visit while in that area checking out colleges.

And at least once a week someone is hit by a car trying to run across Henry Avenue.

What are you doing coming all the way out here to Lou's? You might want to try Pudge's, I always liked them and they are very popular.

I hit Pudgies. Maybe at an earlier recommendation of yours. It was good. A lot of meat. Actually too much. But yes it is kind of off my beaten path.

About the only cheesesteak that impresses me is mine. I'm figuring that he's trying to branch out for when Philthytown bans meat.

An old greasy spoon that I would frequent for breakfast closed after like 25 years. A lot of hipsters were moving into that neighborhood and the new owner turned it into a vegan spot. I stopped in just for the hell of it. They had things like vegan cheese steaks, pepper egg and cheese, etc. It was terrible. But the place is still in business.

Go national? Blahhh. Nothing like original locations. Once businesses like this try to branch out, they lose their ambiance and their product sucks.

You know how long this new place is going to have to be in business before it gets the correct Vomit Soaked Gutters ambience?

It'll be just like when they moved TastyKake, that clean new equipment ruined the flavor.

I've heard raves about them but yep,everytime I drive by on my way to Ridge Avenue there is always a line out there.I don't see how the little place right across the street is able to make any money.

Best thing about Jim's in Springfield is that they are open late when better places are closed.

I totally agree. Sometimes they go to shit even before they branch out, like the Anchor Bar in Buffalo did.
