CHOICES GLOCK 19 3RD Gen Or Glock 19 5TH Gen ?

Gen 3 has finger grooves, fixed back strap and narrower mag release.

Gen 5 no finger grooves, various back straps and wider mag release. Supposedly a better barrel and revised trigger.

There may be a difference in finishes.

Do they have any rounds through them?

I am having the same debate with getting a Glock 23. Not sure on the G19 gen 5, but the G23 gen 5 has a slightly wider slide dimension and I am worried it won*t fit in my present holsters.

Other than that, it seems to be personal preference. And maybe some $$ difference.

I have Gen 5 19s and a Gen 4 G23....I prefer the G19G5 due to optic ready, but fall time I might carry the G23 with a 357 Sig barrel swap...

The Gen 5 does have accuracy and trigger improvements I had a Gen4 19 and I could tell the difference.

Gen 5 hands down. Out of the box trigger pulls are noticeably much improved. One might say Glock Perfection got more perfecter.

Agreed. I had ghost connectors in my Gen 2 and 3. Don't feel like I need them in my Gen 5.

Ordered my Glock 19,5th gen. today should be in about a week. Seems this 5th gen is the way to go.
