    Default G26 pierce extension, correct/incorrect?

To my suprise, my G26 Pierce grip extension came in today. It wasn't supposed to be here till after Turkey Day, so I was happy about the early delivery.

Well, I fumbled getting the Glock flat base off of the magazine and mounted the pierce extension. The pierce extension doesn't 'engage' the lateral tabs of the magazine base like the stock one did. The extended base did slid on easily, and evenly. And the button on the underside did click when fully slid rearward.

The mag locks and releases into the gun without any issues. I won't be able to get to the range till Friday. And thinking that since I have some concern about its fit, that I'm going to choose another carry gun until it tests reliably.

What I'm wondering is if this is 'normal' for the install of the G26 pierce grip extension?

Thanks for any suggestions or comments you may have.

You mean cause everything went smooth like it should , you want to test fire the gun ? Well , it's probably fine but it is rare when things go like they should. Rather safe than sorry !! Let me know how it works out for you ,cause I just bought extentions for my G-36 !!

Have you thought of trying some "Dummy Rounds" in your Magazine and
cycle the rounds through the pistol by racking the slide several times. This
would indicate wether or not you assembled the grip properly, but I would
still take it to the range for "Live Fire" drills.

I have slammed on like 10 of the Pearce grip extensions on G26 mags and never even looked for a "lateral tab".

Don't over think it. If you have a doubt, take it off and put it on again. If it goes on the same way, you're good to go.
