Deprived of my P3AT

I carry my P3AT in my jacket or pants pocket as a BUG. As we all know, pocket carried pistols get all kinds of crud in them. Therefore, I do a quick cleaning on a weekly basis. I fieldstrip, blow it out with compressed air, lubricate, reassemble, and I'm done. Takes about three minutes.

Today, I made the boneheaded move of forgetting to remove and set aside my ejector. As I was on a jobsite, I used my air compressor at 120 psi for the blowout. Given the size (tiny) of the ejector I may very well have blown it fifty feet or more away. Considering all the debris on the ground I didn't even bother looking for it.

So my poor little pistol is out of commission until I get a package from Kel Tec. Due to Thanksgiving, it probably won't arrive until next week. I ordered three to avoid getting stuck like this again.

Now I have to buy a backup BUG.

YIKES!!!! I never tear mine down unless it is on a white cleaning cloth for that exact reason. That sucker is really small. Hope things work out for you and I'm really sorry to hear you have to buy another BUG

That is also part of the reason I have 2 p3at's. I don't want to be without one!

I bought a second P3AT for $160 ("pre owned") at the armory show a couple of weeks back just to make sure I was never without one... maybe I should put one in each of my pockets.

Yeah, I bought three. That way, the next time I lose one I won't have to wait for a replacement to be shipped.
