Default PSP switching to Walther PDP 4.5” model

The state opened up the bidding process for new duty weapons. Looks like they*re going to the Walther PDP 4.5* model with Aimpoint Acro P2 optic.

From what I hear from distributors, pretty much every department is switching to 9mm. A lot of departments also made the switch from 40 to 9. My department went from 45 to 9 a couple years ago.

Then went from .45 GAP to .45 ACP to now 9mm. They had Glock 37s, then tried to go to Glock 21s but had issues. Ditched the Glock 21s and went to Sig 227s, but are now going to Walther PDP. The Sig 277 is all ready discontinued.

When I retired in 2012 that was the cartridge, but I believe they left that and went with a Sig in .45acp shortly afterwards.
