I joke about it, but I fully understand.

Short of being at a group shoot, where people have the option of stepping aside for a few moments if they choose to, I'm never going to be in a situation where other people are going to be subjected to repeated hammering, skull-shaking, concussive blasts.

That's why I don't give a shit about the blast.

And if either of you are going to be at the group shoot, I'll bring along a 3 prong flash hider. I have a question about the "washer" that came with it. Never seen anything like it, so I'm not sure how to install it.

I may just throw that on temporarily.

I was planning on it then something came up last minute so I can*t make it. I honestly think the A2 FH is all you really need. I run them on a couple SBR*s along with some dedicated pricey FH*s for suppressors, I prefer the A2, suppressed it doesn*t matter.

Post a pic of the washer

I'm only familiar with peel washers, crush washers, and jam nuts.
This almost looks like a spacer or something. It's not threaded - it has an evenly spaced groove on the inside and it is sized so it slips over the threads on the barrel.

I forgot to ask what it was for, but I can do so if it remains a mystery.

It is a type of crush washer/spacer. It squishes a little and slightly tweaks the muzzle device, providing additional resistance to the flash hider/muzzlebrake from spinning back off.
