Picked up a used Savage 93 17HMR

Stopped by the gun shop today to see if my guns sold. 2 of them sold, but nobody seems to want the Saiga 12. While I was ogling the pistols the guy asked if I was interested in any rifles. I said what have you got in 22mag as I need to dispatch some groundhogs. Well they didn’t have anything, but he pulled out a Savage 93 in 17HMR with a scope on it that someone just brought in. Looked nice enough and the price was right at $255. So I brought it home. Gotta bring it back Monday to get the barrel threaded.

Finally got out to try the new suppressor. It quiets the 17 down quite a bit. Had lots of fun trying different brands of 22 in my pistols to see what works best. Cci standard velocity was the quietest that I brought with me. I had some Cci subsonic, but was just renamed standard velocity Velocity and bullet weight were the same. The pistol range was closed so I just shot at the rifle range. Fun hitting steel plates at 100 and 165 yards with my 22/45 pistol.
