The law provides that background check requirements imposed on all retail sellers of ammunition are scheduled to take effect on September 13, 2023.

The 2A doesn’t mention anything about ammo, expect more of this

Is there a limit to the quantity allowed in a single purchase? Seems like this would encourage more bulk purchases.

I would say "so what they voted for it" but is only the people in the east near NY city that voted for it. Western NY (before you get to Buffalo) is very conservative and parts are as backward as the sticks in WVa. And I mean this in a good way. Nothing but small towns with one general store and all of them have boxes of ammo behind the checkout for hunting season. I don't think this new law is going to go over well there. Seems like they have more of a divide than in Pa or in North vs South NJ.

Well, I would drive to another state and buy 10,000 rounds at a time.

Even though New Jersey already has electronic ammo registration, they will want this next.

Like with Corona virus restrictions, Democrat Governors will find ways to cooperate with each other.

I forget the law(s) around 10 years ago, but Sarco in Easton had notices about not selling certain items to Connecticut residents, possibly New York residents too. I cant remember if it was mags or gun parts or somethings else.
