Pistol or revolver... because that is a big question. Revolver mechanics are getting harder to find. What do you think is the estimated value of said device?

Did H&R ever make a .22 semi auto?

    No.

    They made a .25 and a .32 self-loader. And imported the Heckler & Koch model 4 which came in .22LR, .25ACP, .32ACP, and .380ACP.

The vast majority of H&R handguns were revolvers. They did make some single shot .22LR's handguns as well.

Here is an H&R import HK4, complete kit - all 4 barrels.

An old sporting goods store near me had one of those with at least some of the conversions, if not all. Not buying that was the biggest mistake I've made in firearms. That was about 30 years ago.

I saw a complete kit once in my life, at a gun show at the FL State Fairground in Tampa back around 1993-1995 - yeah, I was stupid for not buying it. ...didn't know what monetary or intrinsic value it was worth.

I have never used them, but two people have told me about Reeser's in Duncannon? Good reports from both.
