😲 Man attacked by bear in Montour County
🐻 Guess it wasn't interested in a picnic basket
John Swartz was attacked by a black bear inside the garage of his home in Valley Township.
MONTOUR COUNTY, Pa. — Around 9 p.m. Thursday night, John Swartz walked outside to his garage to turn off the water filling up his pool at his home near Danville in Montour County.
"Turned the corner, and I made about five steps and reached down to turn the water off, and I think as soon as I touched the spigot, I got pummeled," said John Swartz of Valley Township.

It seems he spooked the bear in the confines of the garage. The bear didn't sustain the attack but left once out of the garage. Can't really fault the bear.

Yeah, this wasn't so much a "man attacked by bear" as it was a "man corners young bear in garage, then gets knocked ass over elbows as it tries to escape".

That cat knew what was up! Ran like it was shot out of a cannon! I suppose this whole thing could have been much worse. Glad the guy is okay.
