I think I may have heard the most ridiculous line to sell a gun today at the show.

A table had a sign that said All Hi Points $99. The vendor said to me *you know why you want a Hi Point?* I had an idea what he was going to say but said *why*

Vendor: what are you carrying?

Me: Sig 365

Him: That Sig is a $600 gun. If you shoot someone The Police are required by PA LAW to destroy that gun in 30 days. Doesn*t matter if it is a justified shooting or not, it gets destroyed, so now you are out a $600 gun. You use a Hi Point you are out a $100.

Me: (In my head trying to comprehend all the problems with his pitch and trying to decide if I really wanted to get involved and ask him to show me the statute. 1. What good is having a $600 gun if you aren*t going to use if you need it to save your life. Or maybe he meant use the Sig, say it was the Hi Point. 2. Really, there is a law saying destroy the gun in 30 days, I guess they wouldn*t need it for evidence or anything).

All I said though was have a nice day and got away from there.

I would have asked him if we could skip the background check.
