What is your sentimental handgun that you won't sell or trade?

For this post it's not about the monetary or collectors value but how you feel about something in your collection that keeps you from moving on from it. It could be a family heirloom or some other reason you just wouldn't sell it.

For me it's a Taurus PT100 in 40 cal. It's all I could afford way back when (I am not saying how long ago to date myself but the gun kind of does anyway) and my intent when I bought it was to use it for home defense and to shoot in bowling pin events. The pin shoots were at the local gun club where my Dad & I were members and we had a blast shooting these events. Every time I take that gun out of the safe it reminds me of the times we spent together at the range, bonding and laughing and enjoying being around like-minded people. He is 100% responsible for me being not just a lifelong shooter but hunter, reloader, tinkerer and everything else gun related. My plan is to hand it down to my oldest grandson one day and make sure he understands what it represents to me.

My Dad's circa 1953 S&W Hand Ejector in .32 S&W Long. He used it as his service sidearm for more than 20 years.

Handguns I will never part with -

S&W 1076 in 10mm - I was with a group of competitive shooters that got to test the FBI's new handgun at Quantico. It was the first time I'd ever shot 10mm and I was hooked. It took 20 years before I'd get my hands on one, and I'm not letting it go.

Ruger GP100 in .357 - It was the first revolver I ever used in competition. I won two IPSC state championships with it. Never gonna give it up.

Springfield Loaded Champion 1911 in .45 ACP - This was a 10th wedding anniversary present from my wife. She'd just gotten into shooting and this was her gift to me. I recently had cdi do some long overdue work on it, and it's damn near perfect for me.

Webley Mk VI in .455 Webley and .45 ACP. - I've wanted one of these since I was a kid. Took me a long time to find one for a reasonable price. When I did I realized it needed some work to get it to shoot .455 Webley again, and to use full moonclips for .45 ACP. Once again, cdi came through and got the gun running like a champ.

Ruger GP100 in 10mm - I wanted a 10mm revolver for many years. The S&W 610 was out of reach when it was introduced and then prices went through the roof when they discontinued it. I ended up trading another gun for the GP100 in 10mm and I like it better than the 610s I've shot. Plus it was a blued 5" model with a half lug. The thing is a good looking revolver.

There are others that I would really need to be convinced to part with, but the above aren't leaving my collection if I have anything to say about it.

My first handgun a blue s&w 19 4 inch. Got it when I was 15 from pop. Used then even more used now. Smoothest double action I*ve ever had. May take it with me when I go as it doesn*t mean anything to my offspring.

None. They're all just tools. That includes the 3 that I got as a child. I'd sell them if I were inclined. Problem is that I wouldn't get that much (to me) for them, so hard to put out the effort.

I definitely want to sell the S&W .44 special when I get around to it.

Pretty sure I'll sell the Colt Ace .22 when I get around to it too.

I'll keep the Browning Challenger .22, not for "sentimental" reasons, but to give to kid #1. It's an easy shooting pistol.

I just hate dealing with people when selling shit, so I've been dragging my feet.
