Had a friend who owned a gun shop, when we got called up he sold me a Colt1911A1 brand new for $57.50 which was cost at that time. When I said that I had only $20.00 he said that he would carry me until I had the rest. When I said what if we get killed he said, then it was more than paid for Russia backed down on the Berlin Blockade and Cuban Crisis and we never left the states. Paid the Colt off in the following 11 months.
Over the next years worked as a Merchant Police Officer for several years and carried it. The base started a pistol team so it got tuned(at uncles expense) and shot it for several years.
Started playing shooting games and the Old Colt was my choice again. Have bought the new Whiz Click Wonder Gun several times and end up selling them to keep shooting the Colt.

Not for sale at any price, G-Son can decide what happens to it.

Sorry for the long post but she has been by my side(covering my (A**) for 62 years and is family. Thank God she can't talk.
