If your gonna carry a 25 it might as well be a raven/phenix fake chrome plated.....

I've owned a couple "ring of fire" pistols over the years and I wouldn't carry one. The Beretta is a totally different animal as far as build quality and reliability go.

Yea but 25 sucks worse than 22lr.

.25 ACP has the benefit of being centerfire, making it more reliable than .22lr. Performance wise, it's a wash between the two.

Only in cost to purchase ammo, and when the barrel lengths get above 4"(not many .25ACP barrels longer than 3"). Those advertised velocities you see with .22LR is from much longer barrels.

When .22LR and .25ACP are fired from same short handgun barrel lengths, they are quit comparable in velocity. And the 25ACP tends to have a little more energy because of the heavier bullet.

The 25ACP also benefits from having less rim to hang up on when the action cycles, and has better ignition.

I've done a side by side comparison between my Beretta 21A 25ACP and my uncle's 21A .22LR - his has misfeeds quite regularly(practically every magazine). Mine will burp them out as fast as you can pull the trigger, without one hangup. Even my Phoenix Arms model Raven 25 is multitudes more reliable than my uncle's Beretta 21A .22LR.

Here is a side by side comparison between the two using same model of gun.

Note the malfunctions on vid. Velocities and energies on par with each other, with requiring Mini-mag and Stingers to exceed .25ACP. 22 only wins the cost of ammo and availability game.

Knight pretty much said it. It's more reliable than rimfire 22 and ballistics are a wash. I've had lots of pocket pistols and the Beretta is way easier to shoot and shoot fast. At 3-5 yards I can point and mag dump it into a paper plate. Couldn't do that with the lcp it replaced.

To be honest, it's not carried often since my 43x I currently edc is very easy to conceal. I still use the Beretta when it's prudent, especially if I have to dress up to go somewhere.
