Weaknecht (and others) have "recommended" not to carry in a bar.........................THERE IS NO PA LAW PROHIBITING CARRY IN AN ESTABLISHMENT THAT SERVES ALCOHOL!

Yes, that was his sarcasm. I went to a funeral yesterday and was a pallbearer. Afterwards we went to a bar/ restaurant for lunch. I was armed the entire time.

You are correct. No mention of bars/establishments serving alcohol in PA gun laws.

How it should be. All those laws do is prevent designated drivers from legally carrying. A drunk idiot will bring a gun regardless of law.

This guy can be a little Fuddy at times, and I think he was having a Fudd moment. He knows I am a retired Police officer. I said I know the crimes code pretty well. If I am wrong and he proves it, I will pay him. I feel my money will remain safe in my pocket.

Everyone including yourself has it correct. The thing is you can’t prove it to him by pointing to a statute. There is nothing saying it is illegal which is the reason it is legal. Hopefully you have a time limit for him to find the statute because he can search 24/7 for the next century, and unless a law is passed during that time, he ain’t finding it.
