    Default Palmetto State Armory Jakl

    Hey Troops! !

Does anyone have a Jakl? If so what are your impressions? I’m thinking of getting a 10.5 inch, and SBR’ing it, but the new 13.7 with the pin and weld, With the JMAC/Keymo brake…. Would likely be my choice, and do it without the paperwork hassles….

Pic (not mine), just for attention! (But I do like it in FDE, with the magpul Zhukov stock!), but I hear PSA is about to come out with their take on the ACR stock!

Yup. Maybe they know something we don*t?

    * I stand corrected*.. the braced models are all marked *out of stock*, I do look forward to the day they are back in!

** They do offer these *pistol build kits* with triangular brace*. So good on them!!!

I want one but am annoyed they don't make a 16" or 18", 5.56 sucks out of a short barrel.

What distance are you looking for? Mine (10.5) is a 15 yard gun. Loud as balls and unsurpressable.

5.56 wounding in velocity dependent regardless of the distance. I still cannot understand the modern fixation with short barrels for it.

They do now have the 13.7 inch with a pinned and welded Jmac muzzle device. For a total of 16 inches. I*m on the fence of going with one of those.... or SBR*ing the 10.5 inch*.. life is hard!

I recently picked up a Brownell's BRN-180sh. I chose it over the Jakl because I like that the gas can be completely shut off so it suppresses almost as well as my bolt action. Also, I really like that the Jakl is a left side charger but only if you pair it with a completely ambi lower. If you use a normal lower or buy a complete rifle a left side charger is kind of a pain because you have to charge the gun and work the bolt catch with the same hand.
