Your brain doesn't hear it but your ears certainly do.

That brings up a good point, tinnitus is a noise in your ears, but has nothing to do with your ears. It's not caused by,
loud music etc.. It's swelling in the brain, touching nerve, making the sound in your ears. That's what I read anyway.
I have it real bad, mine is from medication. It's as loud as traffic.

Big whoop, I'm spooning a Barret .50 Cal...... I could like kill a building.....

This is what I*m thinking, once my form 1 clears (yes that is daylight between the stock and pistol!)I love the Zhukov, but I May modify the Jmac brace Into a stock, when my form 1 comes back*. They are really nice!

5.56 out of a 9.6" barrel is still at 2500+fps. The FBI tells us that the temporary wound cavity becomes a permenant wound cavity at 2200fps threshold. Thus the large difference in tissue damage between pistol and rifle, velocity. 2200fps is that velocity which makes the difference. So 5.56 out of a short barrel is still getting the job done.

That's 2500fps at the muzzle, not 2500fps at 100 yards. There is also a pretty big difference between how the bullet behaves once it hits the target. At rifle velocities a 55 grain bullet fragments increasing total wound area and increasing the chances of hitting something vital, at pistol velocities it might squeeze a bit of lead out of the bottom.

It'll still kill you dead at 100yrds.

I've been looking REAL hard at the Jakl lately. That OD green one they keep advertising has my name on it, but after adding $120 for tax/transfer I'm a bit less excited about it. If they drop the price to $1000 I'll grab one. Otherwise it's an "I might buy one used" type of gun.

It might kill you dead at 100 yards, and I do not see the benefit in trading an overall length that isn't any shorter than a bullpup for a huge loss in terminal performance.
