Default Carry gun chambered all the time?

Question for you all, I carry with a round chambered but at night when I put my gun in the safe I usually clear it, and then the next morning chamber a round again. Today I went to do that, and had one of my Hornady critical defense rounds get jammed up against the feed ramp, and upon inspecting the round found that the bullet had gotten pushed back a bit into the casing (see photo). This is the first time I’ve seen this happen to any of my rounds in the 10 years of carrying and chambering/clearing each day. From what I found on a google search this can happen from the chambering daily, which is why I’m surprised this is the first I’ve had this happen after doing that for this long, so that leads me to ask do you guys leave your gun chambered 24/7? Do you chamber/clear the round and just rotate the rounds regularly? The round I had this happen to is only about 2 months old

Nope, loaded and ready to go at all times unless I'm cleaning it. And that goes for almost everything in my house. If I have to grab something in a hurry, I don't need to worry about its readiness.

My thoughts are "for what it's worth" to anyone reading.

I *never* unholster. Exceptions are cleaning/maintenance,
range/train/practice, and self defense, and I have never had to
    draw for self defense.

So yeah, restroom, sleep, vehicular travel, you name it... holstered.

When I go to bed I remove the holstered handgun and place them in the safe,
same as using the lockers provided at certain facilities.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Pretty much the same. I also like to shoot my carry ammo a couple of times a year, and at firearms qualification for constable.

Always chambered. Bullet push back is one of the major causes of handgun Kabooms.

Set-Back on round is a reason I rotate magazines and shoot often. Always Loaded and always practice gun safety .May GOD Bless our Fallen this Memorial Day weekend ! Uncle Bruno R . RIP .

Also a reason for failure to feed on the second round. You unload the gun and set the round aside. When you reload, you insert the mag. chamber a round, remove the mag and load the first round that you previously unloaded. After enough cycles, you get a failure to load on your second shot.

All true. There are a boatload of nervous Nellie types that need to feed their ocd by regularly unloading and loading the carry gun. Just don*t do it.
Leave it loaded until you have a reason to unload it. Unnecessary finger banging pushes the round deeper into the case, deforms the bullet and chews up the case rim. Not to mention that with increased handling the possibility of negligent discharge goes way up.

Before bed, I run the edge of my carry knife against concrete to dull it and render it safe.
I wouldn't want it going and cutting someone while I sleep.
