Default Ruger LC Charger 5.7x28mm Pistol

For those interested, Ruger has introduced a pistol version of their LC 5.7x28mm Carbine. Like the Carbine, the LC Charger uses the same magazines as the Ruger 57 pistol. Personally, I didn't care for the Carbine. It's clunky and heavy, the mag release is awkward, and the fact that there are no factory-provided extended mags is disappointing. The new Charger is uglier, with all the same shortcomings of the Carbine.

Looks just like the ruger 57 except slightly bigger. I suspect you could put a folding brace on it for shoulderable 2 handed operation. It's threaded so you could put a can on. For the $999 price tag, it's a mistake to not get the keltec p50.

I think I would rather have the Keltec version than this.

Until all of the pistol brace nonsense is put to bed I don't see too many of these leaving the shelves.

I hope that price tag is MSRP and not what the shop price.

P50 is on sale for 599 at PSA right now, too.

Don't get me wrong, I love that more folks are entering the 5.7 market. But we need practical guns.

They had them for $499 yesterday. Now is probably the time to grab one if you want it, when ammo comes down their price is going to go up

Explain 'practical'. CMMG and AR57 offer an AR platform for the 5.7x28. FN, Ruger, PSA, and S&W all offer handguns in the caliber. Not sure how much more practical you can get than that. You'll never see a P365 sized 5.7 pistol, the cartridge is too long, so the frame would be wide and the barrel would be too short. I'm all for new 5.7 guns, even this LC Charger and the LC Carbine. They're just not for me.

cmmg and ar57 and even the p50 are "practical" because they don't have the mag in the grip, which is a limiting factor and you only get 23 rounds max. If i need to resort to a pcc, I want more rounds than my pistol.

Why are 8 out of 10 5.7 pistols ugly as fuck?

    You forgot a few -

    Diamondback DBX57
    MPA MPA57DMG
MPA 57SST (predecessor to the MPA57DMG)
    Excel Arms Accelerator
    Excel Arms X-5.7 (4 and 8.5" barrels)

There are a couple of others I left off the list because they're not available in the US market (yet). Tisas has their PX-5.7 pistol coming this summer, supposedly.
