Re: Montgomery County sheriff to conduct compliance inspections at gun dealers
Faith in the goverment Idon't think so. All they want to do is take away the freedom that made this country great, well except for their freedom. We (actually the country) fought wars to protect it, gave up thier lives for it. Now they can't fill the army, meanwhile we think men dressed like women and competing in womens sports is alright. we're in very serious trouble

Re: Montgomery County sheriff to conduct compliance inspections at gun dealers
I trust citizens who are running out of patience with the Oligarchy's bandwagon nonsense. Gun control is one plank of the Oligarch's bandwagon. Most people do not have guns. Many people have children.
The Oligarchs want to mutilate the private parts of kids, to make them into participation trophy holding narcissists and to be Good Thinkers. These tortured children run straight into the Reality Wall. They get a rude shock. The Oligarchs have gone too far warping the education and lives of children.
Personally, I believe if someone wants to make the sacrifices and endure the pain of gender changing surgery that this is their business. I do not want children to be encouraged or bullied into doing so based upon payouts to school districts.
We had a name for participation trophies, which were given to kids in the 1970s - Boobie prizes.
Every generation has its good thinking.... today's good thinkers are cheated with visions of phony socialism and false equity.
Two, I trust in people to follow their own self interest, not to be crusaders. This Sheriff claims to be using trained deputies. We shall see.Last edited by GeneCC; May 26th, 2023 at 11:23 AM.

Re: Montgomery County sheriff to conduct compliance inspections at gun dealers
Why do you view the government as a monolithic entity? There are millions of government employees. They have all sorts of points of view.
Government has its place. I do not want a private mercenary military. I am skeptical of private prisons. I think that "Partnerships between government and industry" is opaque fascism.
The government should do its thing, not intrude on private business. Businesses who grub for Government money are parasites seeking an easy buck. They should compete like everyone else.
Wall Street wants to grow government because since 1933 it's had those partnerships between government and industry. Wall Street wants the government to make people pay and pay what it sees fit.
Gun control serves Wall Street's interests. Gun control takes the physical security of common people, moves it to police, social workers and others. They get tasked with defending us. This grows bureaucracy. To secure us we must be continuously monitored. This gives Wall Street more marketing data.
Gun control helps corrupt bureaucrats to steal. Disarmed people do not require SWAT teams. They can be managed with a few police. Guns make dirty business "noisy". People notice and get riled up if they hear about SWAT. Nobody notices one guy hollering or writing notes to the news.
People like Bloomberg and his ilk contribute money to gun control so that they can steal with greater ease. Corporate America donates heavily to gun control outfits. The Oligarch's media donates hundreds of millions of dollars "in kind" producing movies that glorify "gun violence" and which focus on "gun issues" to generate demand for "gun control". All of this helps Wall Street to make easier guaranteed profit$.
I blame Big Business which wants easy profits for gun control. Everything else is just a side show, including this busybody Sheriff.Last edited by GeneCC; May 26th, 2023 at 11:17 AM.

Re: Montgomery County sheriff to conduct compliance inspections at gun dealers
Why do "Progressives" support gun control if it hurts common people?
Progressives are trapped in the 1960s. They feel that their "class consciousness" makes them exempt for support things that are racist or Elitist. "I support common people.... I can't be an Elitist". Go ahead, tell one that gun control is Elitist. They believe the Wall Street propaganda. So it's reality. You are not informed if you do not agree with them.
Progressives are big on Group Think. Everyone has to think the same way. If someone "deviates" they are ostracized, cast out, nobodies. Progressives call being cast out "marginalization". They are terrified of being cast out.
Another new term is "deflection". Progressives believe that we have to stick to the 'message'. Only the message. If you tell a Progressive that more children die in traffic accidents than are killed in mass shootings they will scream "Do not deflect".
How to handle a Progressive? Take them to a shooting range. The more naughty the firearm the better. Teach them self empowerment.

BELLEVUE, WA * The Second Amendment Foundation today filed a challenge of Pennsylvania*s promulgated firearms regulation and its enforcement by the Pennsylvania State Police and Montgomery County Sheriff*s Office, which includes warrantless searches.
SAF is joined by Shot Tec, LLC and a private citizen, Grant Schmidt. They are represented by attorneys Joshua Prince and Dillon Harris, Civil Rights Defense Firm, of Bechtelsville, Pa. Defendants are Col. Christopher Paris, commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) and Montgomery County Sheriff Sean Kilkenny, in their official capacities. The action was filed in the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
The petition challenges Col. Paris and the PSP*s *interpretation, implementation and enforcement* of the firearms regulation *which is being enforced* by Kilkenny, according to the court filing. The petition alleges that Sheriff Kilkenny *has implemented a policy*which he contends, based on the PSP*s promulgation and implementation of (the regulation) permit him, in the absence of probable cause and a warrant and in violation of*the Pennsylvania Constitution, to come into those*homes or business.*
Plaintiffs further assert this inspection enables the sheriff to impose sanctions against holders of state licenses to sell firearms *for not having *safe storage** in the event of an emergency when the PSP has *failed to promulgate any regulations addressing what constitute *safe storage* or sufficient safeguards*when the General Assembly only delegated to the PSP the ability to establish such standards.*
*The State Assembly has never enacted a law allowing for warrantless searches of licensees, but the state police promulgated a regulation requiring licensees to submit to such searches, which are now planned by the sheriff*s department,* said SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut. *We believe there are grave constitutional issues involved in this scheme, particularly when an administrative agency simply waives an individual*s constitutional rights by implementing a regulation without any framework from the legislature. Equally troubling is the Sheriff*s assertion that he would revoke a license from and individual asserting their right to be free from unlawful searches and seizures. We have filed this petition to ensure constitutional rights are respected.*
SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb observed, *No statute should allow carte blanche regulations to be imposed by any law enforcement agency because of the inherent danger of overstepping legal authority and constitutional protections which must be protected in a free society. We*re seeking a remedy from the court to stop this, especially when warrantless searches are involved.*
