Even though our permits do say LICENSE TO CARRY FIREARMS they have CCW in the web renewal address. Someone should email permitium and tell them to rename it to /LTCF/start

One of the few things Philly is doing right. Last year it was fast, less than 24 hr for approval, pickup appointment was two weeks.
Gone are the interview, fingerprints, and waiting in line for hours.

Imagine that, it's the rule of unintended consequences. When they planned the scamdemic they never estimated in their plans it would make it easier and faster to get carry permits.

Delco took exactly 1 calendar month. I did the online upload on May 1, got the call to go to the sheriff's office on June 1. New picture on the card is nicer than the old one.

There is no reason it should take any longer then a normal application.

I did the online thing in Clinton county, just to get it done around my work schedule. I got the pickup email first thing the next day.

Of course, I could have just done it in person, and when I walked in there, filled out the application and waited for my photo, which I saw two or three other folks doing.

This was however, faster and more convenient, because I didn*t have to stand around for the damned PICS check, which we know can take hours.

I put in my application (hard copy) in Media May 31, was told to expect a letter in two-three weeks. June 2 the approval letter was in my mail box.

Well, I decided to try online. Wasn't an emergency, so I figured it was worth the experiment. Now we know. Early on, some person wrote that it took less than a week to get their permit online in Philadelphia. Now it seems to take much longer there too. Next renewal time, I'll ask around for the relative times. I have my valid permit, that's what counts.
