Sell Remington 870?

I have a JK 12GA can in jail so I wanted shotguns I can use it on. The 1301 Tactical will takeover as SHTF/home defense duty that the 870 held.

I picked up a Winchester SXP Shadow Defender as well so should I just sell the 870 now?

I don't have to sell, but I also am not one to have a bunch of toys collecting dust just because I can. Rather use that $ for something I will actually use.

Thoughts? Opinions?

EDIT: SBS it there goes another $200 for the stamp.
Also, who do you send these out to for the cut down? I'd definitely want it to be a threaded barrel SBS if I am going through all the trouble. Not a bad idea. Just don't want to end up with another expensive project that I'm only going to take to the range once or twice a year. I don't hunt and my wife wants no parts of the shotguns

The SXP are Turkish made shotguns now. I have a 1300 and like you say there isn't much in the way of aftermarket or factory accessories for tactical gear. The first thing that needs on any of the factory guns SXP and 1300 is get rid of the plastic magazine tube follower.

I might add the Remington Police model has a lot of the upgrades installed already except for the follower. I recommend the S&J Hardware followers.

This gentleman carries a lot of upgrades for Remington shot guns and has a few things for the Winchester.

See, the OP thinks I was being smart-alecky by suggesting he trade his low end shotguns for one that is ready to fight right out of the box. The Winchesters and Remington both need a lot of upgrades to be a serious tactical shotgun that are already installed on the Benelli. Yeah, they're expensive.

No harm in having three shotguns I can use the suppressor on!

I kept it & bought a 1301 & a Mossberg 500 & today added another 870.
