Israelis carrying empty chamber is no longer the practice, and has not been for some time.

Empty chamber is the next best thing to not carrying at all.

More dangerous than a loaded firearm is the judge and jury that would find Perry guilty. Just one more aspect of our world being fucked up.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

I carry my 9mm handguns with one in the chamber, but my 45s with an empty chamber. Discuss.

Depends if the safety is on or off.

Agreed. I’m surprised anyone actually tries to justify otherwise, but hey ho. Maybe in niche scenarios, but as a regular practice?? Nah…

I'm glad that gun owners are different.

    Mostly.

I agree, but to each their own. I just hope no one on here is killed or seriously injured because they didn't have the time or ability to rack a slide. If I was concerned about carrying one in the chamber, I would carry something with a manual safety instead. At least that can be manipulated with your shooting hand fairly quickly.

If only guns came with enough safety features to actually be safe.

I'm right there with you. I never even thought about any safety concerns while carrying with a loaded round. I didn't even know carrying without a round chambered was a thing until a few years ago from people on here.
