A special election for Pennsylvania House of Representatives District 163 has been called for May 16, 2023. The candidate filing deadline was March 27, 2023.[7]

The seat became vacant after Michael Zabel (D) resigned on March 16, 2023.[8]

2016 it was a solid red area....last election it was solid blue. I have no idea what her chances of winning are but the Dems don't seem freaked our so I guess it will hold. But anyone in that area must vote.

At least they are getting the word out about her. I have gotten at least 8 pieces of mail to vote for her. In the last general election there was hardly any information on the republican candidate.

This is one of them. If you live in the area and know people who might vote for Ford, spread the word. Since it is a special election any registered voter in the area can vote in this race
