Default Glock 43X The Rose 9mm

Any thoughts on this gun for my wife? Local gun shop has it for $539. It would be her first pistol.

The 43x is my edc. I found it the easiest to shoot well out of the sub-compact 9mm's on the market by far. Mines not fabulous like that one, but if the Mrs likes it, it's a solid choice.

While the G 43X is my EDC ,Show her the model of the Rose, If she's good with all that design then go for it ,other wise a Plain G 43X is the definite way to go .

I got one for the wife two Christmases ago. Not her first pistol, but her first with no safety. She likes it and shoots it well. Her's is more like a black cherry color.

They also make it without the black scrollwork in the frame and a colored slide, but it looks kind of tacky.

Regular 43x, 48 or 19 (gen4 or newer) would be my suggestion, skipping the extra finish work.

I like this one. Basically paisley. I wore various paisley ties all the time back when wearing ties was a thing. Hell, I'd EDC if someone bought me one!

My daughters both have and love their 43X. Better grip than standard 43 makes recoil management easier. I also bought them Hornady Critical Defense Lite ammo that*s are a little less snappy than standard defensive loads.

If she has fired one and likes the style, then absolutely. If she hasn't shot one yet, maybe borrow or rent one first. I have been singing the praises of the Shield Plus, which I like even better than my G48.

Regardless, good for her for moving to ensure her personal safety.

Thanks for all the replies. We took a look at the gun today and decided to hold off and entertain all other options. Looks like a fine gun, but I don’t care for the color and pattern. I’ll let her get whatever she wants, but she would like to see what else is out there also, so rather than an impulse buy, we are slowing down and seeing what’s out there.
    Thanks again

It doesn't matter if you like the color or not. What matters is, if she does.
