Re: 4 bills up for vote tomorrow
Bad news.
Anti-gun legislation has moved from the PA House to Senate, and these bills directly attack your constitutional rights as a law-abiding gun owner.
We cannot permit any further erosion of our God-given Second Amendment rights.
The following two bills have shifted to the Republican-held Senate and are currently sitting in the Senate Judiciary Committee:
HB 714 (Warren) * Universal Background Checks bill passed out of the PA House and is now in Senate Judiciary Committee. Bill Information - House Bill 714; Regular Session 2023-2024 - PA General Assembly (state.pa.us)
HB 1018 (O*Mara)* Extreme Risk Protection Order *Red Flag Laws* bill passed out of the PA House and is now in Senate Judiciary Committee. Bill Information - House Bill 1018; Regular Session 2023-2024 - PA General Assembly (state.pa.us)
These bills will do nothing to stop violent criminals, but they will infringe on your ability to own a firearm and massively erode your right to due process.
And it is up to grassroots gun owners in Pennsylvania to apply political pressure and politely demand these bills be immediately killed in the Senate!
So please call the Senate Judiciary Chair, Senator Lisa Baker, and urge her to put an end to these unconstitutional moves in committee.

Gun control update for the PA House:
HB 338 (Sanchez) * Reporting Lost and Stolen Firearms (Sanchez) was defeated in the House. Details can be found in the link: Bill Information (History) - House Bill 338; Regular Session 2023-2024 - PA General Assembly (state.pa.us)
HB 731 (Parker)* Safe Storage (Parker) has been re-committed. Details can be found in the link: Bill Information (History) - House Bill 731; Regular Session 2023-2024 - PA General Assembly (state.pa.us)

Shusterman: Firearms have no place in a courthouse
I live in Fayette County. Fayette is pronounced with a long "a." She cannot even pronounce correctly the area over which she would unconstitutionally rule.
This is more of Hochul-type banning of firearms in "special places" to extinguish the right to bear arms. Death by a thousand cuts.
The shooter was killed by a police officer using . . . wait for it . . . a firearm.Last edited by Spirit of 76; June 15th, 2023 at 12:58 PM.
