Re: a little help from you peeps
I own a few Taurus handguns, and I have never had a problem with them at all. Accurate, reliable, and a nice looking gun. I have had an instance with my PT945 jamming, but it was an ammo issue and not the gun! I like the Taurus for these reasons as well as the price. I have never owned or fired any Walther, so I can not comment on them. I will say though that you really can't go wrong with a taurus...
You may here people knocking them because they may not be " as accurate as a kimber, or an H&K" although unless your into competition shooting. I dont think for normal range shooting or protection it really makes much of a difference. They are definitley accurate enough for both of these situations!

I don't think the Taurus's have any problems in the accuracy dept...it's just the overall quality that lacks.
I'd buy a used S&W/ Glock/ etc long before I considered a new Taurus

Re: a little help from you peeps
I have owned two taurus hand guns. First, was the taurus pt99. It is a 9mm and a full size gun.
The gun I carry now is a Taurus pt145. It is a sub compact .45 which is alittle bigger caliber than you may want.
In the long run taurus is a good brand and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

Re: a little help from you peeps
I llike the 24/7...100% reliable (even with 147gr JHP) thus far and accurate enough. The trigger has a long pull, but it is quite light. If it were a DAO revolver it's be called a superb DAO trigger. :-)
The 'full size' models were bargains on the used market, until the most recent election anyway...

Re: a little help from you peeps
I have a 24/7 in .45acp. So far, so good. No issues. The trigger is not the best, but many guns these days are that way.
If you have any intrest in a .45, take a look at the Taurus PT745C, a 20 oz. 6+1 compact auto.
These are two of the of 4 Taurus autos I have, and I am not displeased with any of them.
I have no experiance with the Walther.
