    Senate approved a house bill. Needs to go back to the house for approval of amendments but the governor will certainly sign it. Outlaws sale going forward but grandfather's existing

    We need to come up with a system where city dwellers can't impose their will on the rural folks. Maybe build around the cities. Or a moat.

    and when this does nothing those grandfathered guns will be banned through the requirement of registration or be a criminal.

    didnt NY try to say that it was still a success even though almost no one registered? Washington has a history of dumb laws, just look at Seattle's gun tax that has failed miserably.

    We all should realize by now that the gun banners are operating on a whole different paradigm. To them, there is no such thing as a dumb gun law and as far as ineffectiveness or non-compliance goes, they know they can use that in the future to push for further restrictions. They are light years ahead of many conservatives in terms of their strategy because it's a long term disarmament campaign, not a crime prevention campaign and yet the conservatives who are rebutting them are stuck mumbling about how no new law is going to stop mass shootings, as if that mattered one bit to them.
