    Default Mdp9 issues

Seeing reviews that the mdp-9 has issues, wondering if anyone picked one up and what your hands-on experience has been?

For the price, it better perform flawlessly. Especially for a 9mm pistol/PCC. Everything I've seen/read about it says it's not worth the money. Get a Stribog for less than half the price.

i saw his video but seems like mixed results, i heard that a version 2 is in the works and that they held off on releasing the upper bc of that.
the weight and RD system would make this a great cheek gun (no need for braces)

For less than $500 you can get an Extar9 and accomplish the same thing. You could get a B&T GHM9 for $1600~ish and get a better pistol, IMO. $2400 for a 9mm pistol is just insane to me, but if it's what you want, it's what you want.

The extar is straight blowback... mdp9 is RD system. I think an mp5 clone is a better comparison, atlantic had the ap5p (mp5k clone) for basically $1K

I think the extra $2k in my pocket should more than cover any physical or emotional stress caused by the slightly higher felt recoil.

Never got the appeal of the MP5. I've shot one many times and have never had a desire to own one. Roller delay is nice and all, but it doesn't change the fact that they're heavy, expensive, clunky things. Other than nostalgia, I don't get it. So many better options on the market today in that price range.

I got to shoot one at the last group shoot I went to.
It WAS nice - notably less recoil than any similar sized 9mm pistol type I've shot.

I still wouldn't pay THAT much more for one as I don't find the benefit to be worth the additional cost.
