Re: Mdp9 issues
Pak9 is $500 and super reliable with minimal recoil. Tons of accessories for it as well. AK style reliability in 9mm.

Re: Mdp9 issues
Just don't put too many rounds through it. It's not a question of if, but when the receiver will crack - a common problem with almost all 9mm blowback AKs. And hope that Chiappa doesn't even THINK you modified the gun in any way, cause if they do, they'll void your warranty.

Re: Mdp9 issues
I think you mean StormWerkz. I have their magwell adapter. Never bought their forend. Have one from Manticore Arms that I've been meaning to modify. But after all the reports of cracked receivers, I haven't really shot the thing much in the past couple of years. Thought about selling it, but it hasn't been a priority.

Re: Mdp9 issues
UPDATE
so i ultimately tried this out and it's a winner so far... over 500+rds in and running smooth, most was modern munitions 124gr ball
it appears to be the ultimate bag 9, the smallest/ lightest 9 pdw that i knew of prior that was regularly available was the b&t tp9.
- tp9 is 11.9in long/ 3.75lbs/ barrel length 5.1in
- mdp9 is 14in long/ 3.7lbs/ barrel length is 5.85in
why do i think it's better than the tp9 and any other 9mm pdw that i have seen?
- my unit has no jamming nor feed issues to date
- the ~2" length difference is negligible compared to the tp9 - even for bags (14 overall is fine for even a small jansport)
- the weight is near identical
- mdp9 is roller delayed and very soft shooting
- mpd9 uses AR15 FCG
- got mine sub $1500 (tp9s are going for quite a bit more)
- uses glock mags (tp9 uses proprietary)
hk mp5k clones are good and cool but this is lighter and the use of the AR15 FCG & glock mags smokes it - other than cool-factor
i know that direct blowback 9mm pdw are out there but they are longer (due to the buffer assy needed) and for a 9mm pdw i prefer cheekweld shooting for very fast and very compact shooting; direct blowbacks beat up your jaw a hundred or so rounds in...
