The only time anybody has said anything to me about my carrying is the wife getting snarky. Don't shoot anything off honey is her general comment. I open carry when I am outside around the house. That kept the local dope dealer and his customers from coming around. When I am out and about I generally have a shirt untucked to discretely carry. So I was checking out at my local wally world, the day after Nashville, gentleman behind me said if more people carried we wouldn't have problems like that. I agreed and said I remember a time when wearing a mask into a bank would get the police called on you. We both laughed and went our separate ways. BTW the wife isn't so snarky anymore with all the craziness out there.

Glad to hear of your positive encounter. I hope they are all like that.
I've been open carrying, weather permitting,since 2008 here in the
York County area. Lots of "encounters" and all have been positive.
Including conversations with York City PD, York County PD, and PA state Police.

I know I was made once. Loading cabinets and strapping them down in Lowes parking lot. Woman sitting in the car beside me. Her face was 3ft. from my now uncovered CCW. I looked right at her, smiled and put my shirt back down over it and finished strapping. Got in the truck and drove away. Pretty boring story.

Had once at costco, long reach onto the top shelf. Guy turned down the isle 20' from me. I turned and saw he saw clear as day. He smiled and nodded. I nodded back, reached down, and grabbed my wife's ass. He laughed silently and kept going on his way. My wife turned and said what's going on, and I said nothing, I just wanted to grab your ass.

Sunday after Church we had a picnic on the grounds. As I sat down, the guy who sits behind me saw the holster sticking out below my untucked shirt. *What are you carrying today?*
