Gunsmith / Philly area
Hello all- I went back and looked at some older threads and it seemed like EZ Accuracy had mixed reviews, and it was unknown if CDI Custom Knife and Gun was in business.
Are there any reliable gunsmiths in the Philadelphia or MontCo area that anyone can recommend? Looking for help troubleshooting on an AR style rifle. I have tried just about everything and this is the last resort.
Thank you!

CDI is still around and is a member here. Everyone gives him good reviews. He's outside of Chalfont.

I don't want to take away anyone's business but why don't you run your problem thru the POOFA brain trust first?
We will bicker and argue for a while..........then you can take it to a gunsmith. But at least it will be somewhat entertaining.

Re: Gunsmith / Philly area
Just a quick update...I could not for the life of me get it to cycle properly. I originally thought it was the gas, but I think I found the culprit. The bolt was holding onto the brass and not allowing it to eject or cycle properly. I never saw brass actually stick to the bolt face with the extractor holding onto it. I would have to pry it out with my finger. After speaking to the manufacturer it appears the tolerances may have been a little tight. They mailed me a new bolt and so far it has been dry cycling rounds like butter. Fingers crossed the same thing happens at the range. IF not, back to the drawing board! More like, it'll be going right to CDI.
