Default Biden to sign executive order on gun sales

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bid...more-gun-sales

Biden to sign executive order to require background checks on more gun sales
The executive order will increase background checks and prevent firearms dealers without licenses from selling guns.

The order will also improve public awareness and increase the use of extreme protection, like "red flag" laws and safe storage of firearms.

    What a POS, as usual.

"Specifically, the President is directing the Attorney General to move the U.S. as close to universal background checks as possible without additional legislation by clarifying, as appropriate, the statutory definition of who is 'engaged in the business' of dealing in firearms, as updated by the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act."

How can you be a firearms dealer and not have a license? Anyway, who is to know when a friend sells me a gun?

    Fascists be fascisting . . .

The National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN) currently allows federal, state and local law enforcement to match fired cartridge casings to the guns from which they were fired, making it easier for law enforcement to connect multiple crime scenes and catch shooters.

The PSP was routinely sending every seized gun off to be fired and registered, no matter the reason for the seizure (especially "it's not registered to you").

I'm not aware of any significant number of crimes solved by ballistic databases. I know that Canada tried it for some years, and stopped because they never solved any crimes with it. They required every new gun to be fired & catalogued.

Given that most gun crimes involve stolen guns, any theoretical ability to link a specific crime to a particular gun is of dubious utility. Further, the "science" is right up there with phrenology, and fiber analysis.

IIRC, MD tried that with all new gun sales for a while and found it to be a useless waste of time and resources so they nixed it.

Here's the real problem. And yes, Katie Muth has been informed.

This nothing but verbal vomit from an apparently bottomless source of such vomit. Apparently he is emptying what's left of the soup he considers a brain out through his mouth. This will do nothing at all other than basically (as I read it) use the DOJ and the giant dickhead Garland to try to creatively harass anyone they can.

Gunlawyer may have a more nuanced and intelligent read, but that's my read. Harassment under the cover of pseudo-law, pure and simple.

Every single day it seems were are offered another chance to forgive cocaine Mitch his typical douchebaggery solely because at least he had the balls to keep Garland far away from SCOTUS.
