As eatmydust said above, the vast majority of people have no clue that you're carrying a firearm. My advice to those new to carrying is to just 'own it' and act confident. No one has ever mentioned that they could tell I was carrying since I started in the 80's. I'm betting you think you're showing more than you really are.

Since I had a bowel resection in 2017 and have scar tissue on my belt line, it is uncomfortable to cinch a belt down tight. These days if I'm not pocket carrying an LCP, I use Perry suspenders to backup my belt for IWB or OWB carry. The hooks of Perry's hook under the belt front and back, they're widely available and can be had inexpensively.

OWB is my preferred carry. I do often use a shoulder holster.

For suspenders, I like the Under-Ups by the Holdup Suspender Company. They go under the shirt, snap to the waist band in two spots, more convenient when using the commode, as the suspenders stay on the body.

I am looking for a reasonably priced holster/suspender system, along the idea of the Under-Ups.

OWB & IWB carry - both for me. I've been EDCing since the mid 80s. Different guns over the years. Since 2005, my primary EDC gun has been a Glock 19. I carry it in a Kramer horsehide OWB belt scabbard during the Spring, Fall, and Winter months. A Sparks SSII IWB holster gets used primarily during the Summer and when I need/want a bit more concealment.

I've been using the Kramer horsehide OWB belt scabbard since 1992 - again, different guns over the years. Best OWB holster period (my opinion of course )

Now for my wife, who also has been EDCing since the mid 80s, her prefered choiced is a FIST ultra-thin kydex IWB holster. Her EDC since Dec of 2006 has been her Glock 26. She also has a Kramer horsehide OWB belt scabbard for her 26 - but uses it more infrequently.

We both have several different "gun" belts to go with our chosen carry choices (Kramer, Crossbreed, Safariland, Galco, and Blade Tech too).

Lots of good options nowadays - hasn't always been the case, but really some good options for EDC available nowadays.
Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

    I'm ~90% IWB. My 2 fav's are a Ruger LC9s in a Desantis sof-tuk(sp?) & a Sig P229 in an Alien Gear Shape Shifter.

I've tried & tried to give AIWB a go but my gut pushes the grip out and the muzzle into my groin.

I have some Serpa OWB holsters but I can't get past how much I print while wearing them

The safariland ALS/TLS is a good owb for the lcs/ecs carry. Most comfortable i’ve found if you owb. Beat the iwb/owb options for a g26 hands down and i suspect works well for any/most single stack options.

Honestly I feel many would succeed with IWB more if a little more work and effort was put into it. For example, check out the line of PHLster videos on YouTube. Or say Spencer's Keepers. That's a holster making, pro shooting really big guy (physically) that's gotten it to work. That said, there's a bit of work with adding a claw on the side, maybe some velcro or foam on the bottom and trying out some positioning. So if the goal is to toss something on and never think about it, sure OWB is awesome, but with some finesse it isn't super hard with the right holster to IWB even full sized.

Check Duluth Trading Company for the Perry suspenders.

When using the Perry's, I simply unclip them from my belt and let them hang from my shoulders during bio breaks.
