Default Can I conceal carry in PA as an Ohio resident with a license?

PA reciprocity shows 'resident permit required'. I checked a few sources and it sounds like I'm good to go, but wanted to make sure before making a drive in to town. Thanks.

There are a few interactive maps available for reference. Here is one.

Thanks Walleye, I did see that. I think I just get confused when I see term 'resident'. I thought at first it meant you had to be a resident of PA, otherwise you will need to apply for non-resident permit. But I think it means resident of the state that has a reciprocity agreement with PA.

That is my understanding. If you are an OH resident with an OH license to carry, you are good to go in PA. PA is not a 'must inform' state either so if you get pulled over, what they don't know won't hurt anyone.

No, it means you need a resident permit in Ohio. You can't be an Ohio resident with a Utah permit, but no Ohio permit.

This is off-topic but I moved here from TX, a "must inform" state. Does an LEO know that we have an LTC when they run our information?

I was taught in TX LTC class that an LEO will always know if we have an LTC when they run our plates or DL, so it's always a good idea to mention it even if we are not carrying.

Yes, best place to check is your attorney generals page. https://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/...ity-agreements If you go to the page you will see a map. Click on the state you are interested in finding out about. In your case it says *Pennsylvania honors Ohio CHL permits. For more information, please visit the Pennsylvania Attorney General's website here.*

Why would you mention it if you are not carrying?

I'm in PA and listen to the local county police on a scanner and when running an individual they are told when that person has a license to carry, at least for PA residents.

By the way, the most up date handgun law website I've seen is
https://handgunlaw.us/ it has a plethora of info.

Welcome to PA, sorry to see that you're in shittsburgh. As soberbyker said, they do know but PA is not a must inform state and it's even legal to lie and say that you are not carrying when you are. It might be rare but it is not unheard of for the po leece to finger fuck your weapon and fuck it up so best they don't know. It is best to say nothing more than you have to. If I was going to get frisked, I might fess up before he found it.
