    Haha, boring is not the first word that comes to mind when I look at it. Personally, I think it looks pretty unique. That said, is smooth shooting or being pretty the priority?

    When I spend $2k on a pistol, I also want it to be aesthetically pleasing. For example, I both enjoy shooting & looking at my Rapide Dawn. YMMV

    Not a double-stack, but any good 1911 in 9mm is a smooth pussycat to shoot. Easy to manipulate, great trigger, and minimal recoil.

    Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder, because I think the Rapide looks like someone gave a 5 yr old a shitty Kimber and a Dremel and told them to go to town.

    Stick with the classics, old school Browning HiPower. (not the new version) There's a reason they are a classic.
