Assuming he worked for a company with a "no guns" policy, and he chose to carry a gun into work, and somebody noticed so he got fired for breaking a company policy . . . color me surprised.

If you'll get fired for fucking Sally in accounting, or cursing at customers, or taking the company laptop home so your kids can do their homework . . don't do those things. Unless Sally's worth it. Your call, I never saw Sally, maybe she's a doozie.

I'd stretch a policy and keep a gun in my car in the company lot, and if the company demands to search my car or I'll be fired, I'll refuse consent, and be fired for "refusing to allow them to search my vehicle without cause". Sounds better than "he brought a gun into work and we had to fire him once the screaming of the Woke women died down".

Work someplace else, if you can't tolerate the policies. I'd never work for Ben & Jerry's, or Bank of America, because they're commie assholes and I'm sure I'd hate their workplace cult.

I WAS going to watch it simply because of all the bitching about watching it without a summary, but as soon as I clicked on it and saw his bottle of booze and a glass sitting there on the table, I figured I wasn't interested in anything a loser like that has to say.
Seriously. THAT'S your "prop" for a video?

Hey, look. I wasted almost as much time bitching about THAT as the "summary" guys wasted whining about the lack of a summary!

Times have changed at poofa. In 2007 I don't think I would have seen half a dozen people saying he got what he deserved.

I began to comment about carry at work and then I remembered not to break the rule we had about not talking about such things.

I don't see how - since no summary was provided.

All we know, without watching some apparently stupid long ass video, is someone got fired for carrying at work.

Based on that, my input is:

    1). Well, duh!
    2). Don't do that.

The idea that carry was prohibited but overlooked, and thinking he was OK, does not seem like a smart move. I think just about anyone could have predicted that what happened was eventually going to happen.
We had a no carry policy and were subject to random search by security when I worked at a big Fortune 50 company for 20 years. I always left my gun in my vehicle in a secure lock box. They never searched anyone coming in the building let alone someone's pov in the parking lot, but supposedly it could have happened.

We had gun lockers provided to secure our weapons during work as we were not allowed to keep them in our personal lockers or in our vehicles out in the parking lot.

I'm with you on that. But this guy kind of casually let it out there. It was obvious that people knew.

Private property is just that. Owner's rules.

On that note, how about a business venue that prohibits clothing above the waist?
