She was declared legally dead. I imagine his marriage terminated at that time, since he would be free to remarry without being a bigamist.

For the husband I hope so. One of the articles said she is now in a home in Pittsburgh and after 31 years I wouldn't want to pay for it.

I guess he picked the wrong girl. Her sister was clearly the better choice.

So funny. I started looking at teh comments on the 3 local Pittsburgh news websites and someone mentioned this, so I had to look it up.

It's audio from a WDVE (Pittsburgh rock music station) broadcast.

Apparently this lady was in the audience during a Jay Leno show!

    I would say:

    1). She is legally dead.

2). Only housing dead people need is a cemetery.

    More!

I'm not posting this to mock the poor lady, it's just a glimpse of her on film, spreading her message.
She's much less "nutty as a fruitcake" than I recall from my experiences.

This video is an excerpt from a piece I made in 1991 called Xenophobia.
I went to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1981 where the school still had elevator operators and there was this one operator; she was very sweet and polite and my friends and I loved her big Ann Miller hairdo.
I left Pittsburgh for about 5 years and when I moved back I was working downtown and one day walking to work this lady comes up to me in the street telling me about the three days of darkness and to stay inside, "the end times are coming"...At first I wasn't listening to her because she looked so familiar and I couldn't place her until I finally asked her if I knew her...she asked if I went to the Art Institute and then I immediately remember who she was. Apparently a few years after I left the Art Institute she saw a vision (it was written to her on the blackboards at that school) and thru that vision she found her mission which also got her fired because she would stop the elevator midway and give her warnings to the art students trapped in the elevator. I would run into her all the time (everyone did) and I ended up helping her out by videotaping her spiel and putting it on public access television.
Heres a link to an article about her in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.http://www.post-gazette.com/columnist...

There's only a couple of comments, but they mirror my recollections

Here's the 1998 article in the Post Gazette about her that was linked in the above video.

And lastly, here's a forum that - I suppose - focuses on solving mysteries?
There's a thread about her from back when she went missing.
    https://www.websleuths.com/forums/th...eacher.370494/

One post confirms that she worked as the elevator operator at the Art Institute until 1984, so that confirms that she was NOT still working there when I started attending school - she had been doing her street thing for a year by then.

It's sad that her family lost her for so long and interesting the way everyone remembers her.

Interesting she went to our shithole war trophy, Puerto Rico.
My bet is Coach hit it.
