    Default Kentucky House Bill 475

I searched, but didn't see this posted. Introduced 2/21/2023. Kentucky House Bill 475 highlights:

    - require background checks for private firearms sales
    - amend KRS 527.070 to include postsecondary education facilities within the existing ban on firearms in schools
    - require licensing for handguns, assault weapons, magazines w/ capacity over 7 rounds, etc.
    - registration of handguns and assault weapons
    - repeal KRS 65.870, which relates to the prohibition of local firearm control ordinances

Kentucky is a very strong firearm friendly state. Bills like this will go nowhere. It’s like a pro gunner legislator in NY putting in a bill to reduce gun laws, going nowhere.

As Ilikebuckets said, it probably put up every year without any chance pf passing. That bill is only related to Kentucky, though, not national.

Lexington and Louisville repeesentatives, KY has it's liberal shitholes just like any other state. I would bet most of the people they represent don't want these bills, but they are expected to tow the democrat line
